We’ve been treated to the new single from the New York-based six-piece MICHELLE today, and it’s a corker. ‘EXPIRATION DATE’ is a groovy, crisp tune that pays as much attention to its detailed accompaniments as it does its addictive melodies. Analogue synths and layered vocal harmonies are the order of the day and contribute to the band’s unique sound. They manage to craft something that sits between playful pop to modern funk.
